Midwest RUG
Thank you for becoming a member of the Midwest Remedy Users Group (MWRUG). We are mainly here to serve the Southern Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa and potential the Western Michigan areas.
We are an independent group not sponsored by any Remedy partner, we are a USER group. We welcome all participants regardless of whether you are an employee, consultant, partner or vendor.
We plan to hold half day meetings at MWRUG company locations. This methodology has been used in the NCRUG for the last five years and has worked successfully. By having the meetings at the companies of participating members we avoid the necessity to be vendor sponsored for a meeting location. Vendors are welcome to be participants, but we request that they honor the philosophy that this is not intended to be a forum for sales. When we have meetings they are welcome to bring handouts to be placed on a distribution table, but we request that they do not make sales approaches to members. If a member approaches them for a conversation regarding their products, that is the member’s option.
With that objective in mind, we will be asking for company volunteers to sponsor meetings. The expectations of the sponsoring company are to provide a meeting facility that has suitable seating, a laptop projector to display presentations, a wall to receive the projection, and it’s always nice when a company provides simple beverages (soft drinks / water) and cookies or some other appropriate treat.
Our regular agenda will include a presentation by Remedy personnel regarding the latest release or other pertinent information. It is intended that this presentation contain technical content that will help further our knowledge about the product. There may be a presentation by a 3rd party vendor if the group has expressed an interest in a particular product. It is also a focus of each meeting to have a period of time for members to exchange ideas, make presentations, and do Q & Answer sessions. This can be a full group forum or separate round table topics. The group will establish the agenda for the next meeting.
The success of the group is reliant on active members that provide input and suggestions regarding agenda topics. A major purpose of the group is to provide technical information that can be used when you return to your company, to give you an opportunity to develop personal contacts with people that have a similar interest, and to have an opportunity for open discussion.
Please check this forum frequently and use it facilities.
