Finally, some back relief!
(Friday, 27 July 2007) Written by Matt Reinfeldt
Okay, I've given it three weeks, and I do have to say, buying a Herman Miller Mirra chair for my home office (I work out of the house) has made a HUGE improvement in how my back feels!  Obviously, like most of you, I work in front of the computer most of the day.  Usually, that's 6-10 hours a day sitting.  I've been doing this for several years, and I've noticed that my back has started to be more and more sore.  So, I decided that since I chose this profession (I mean, isn't Remedy FUN?!  ), I should invest a little bit in my health before it's too late.  After testing it out for three weeks, I can safely say, it was worth the money!  I honestly don't even notice sitting through those long meetings any more!  The Mirra allows you to adjust: the lumbar support the height the arm rest height, angle, and width the depth of the chair how far it tilts (four positions, 1 forward and 3 to the rear) and the tension level (how hard/easy it is to tilt) It's seat is mesh and the back is made up of a very cool, flexible, contoured plastic.  Did I mention that it has a 12 year warrantee?  Yup!  Do I sound like a sales pitch?  I hope so!  I can only hope that everyone else who is forced (by choice, of course!) to work long hours in front of a computer, has the opportunity to do it in a chair that will make the time fly by instead of being insufferable. So, do your research, and when you're done, buy the chair that really makes a difference (it has for me!): the Herman Miller Mirra Chair!!!

Things are starting to move!
(Monday, 25 June 2007) Written by Matt Reinfeldt
Well, I've been working at adding in features to the site now that it's up and stable.  Some of the new items: Write your own Blogs! (okay, this has been available, but I wanted to remind you all about it!) Mailing List Subscription - Subscribe to the mailing list for your local RUG to receive information on upcoming meetings! Connections - When you edit your Profile, you will see that you can "connect" to other users.  This is your way of keeping track of those people in the community that you often converse with. Image Gallery - I've set it up so each user can upload up to 10 pictures.  I don't know if this will get used much or not, but it may be fun to share pictures with your community friends! Downloads - I've moved all of the downloads from my other site (http://www.mattreinfeldt.com) to here.  This includes all the presentations from the last few big RUGs and UserWorld.  Be sure to stop in and check it out!  There are also quite a few tools written and supported by community members! That's it for now!  Only two days until the next MWRUG meeting in Chicago!  Looking forward to seeing all of you there!  Matt Reinfeldt

Site launching!
(Friday, 08 June 2007) Written by Matt Reinfeldt
Okay... time to suck it up and let the site go!  It's kind of scary, but I'm hoping for the best!  There are some pieces still being worked on (the file downloads, for example), but I hope that you all will be patient while I iron out the kinks. Please send your comments/suggestions to me (use the 'Contact Us' link in the top menu bar...). Enjoy! Matt Reinfeldt
