Folks, Make sure that you check the calendar for upcoming events! I've just gotten off the phone with Nori @ ColumnIT, and she will be entering in the events that Column is sponsoring. We all agree that it is important for us, as a community, to have access (in a centralized location) to a listing of these events. Keep in mind that just because an event is sponsored by one vendor (BMC Partner) or another, it does not mean that that event will be a continuous sales pitch for that vendor. I recently had the opportunity to attend the North Central RUG's last meeting, and though it was sponsored by ColumnIT, there were several BMC Partners in attendance and I do not believe that there were any "conflicts". It was all really about sharing our experiences, knowledge, and yes, making ourselves available to the community. It worked well, I thought. Anyway, thank you, Nori, and all other LRUG leaders out there for the time you take to make the community stronger! Matt Reinfeldt |

Just a few days ago, I had the honor of going to Minneapolis to attend the North Central RUG, hosted by Column IT. I have to tell you, it was a great experience! I believe we had 55 or so people show up! One of my reasons for being there, outside of representing TuringSMI, where I now work, was to introduce the group to this website. Overall, I had a great time and look forward to going back there for the next meeting! So, please join me in welcoming the NCRUG users to our community! They definitely have a lot to bring to the table. Matt Reinfeldt |

Hello All, I wanted to let you all know that we are still scheduled for the RUG meeting on February 6, 2008 at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building in Salt Lake City. The registration for this event can be found at http://www.allegiant-tech.com/eventform.php?id=5. Please pass this to anyone that you may feel are interested in attending. Additionally the Salt Lake RUG (SLUG) has its own web presence and also a mailing list. Many of you have received invitations to register to the site. If you have not or know anyone interested please have them register at http://www.remedyusergroups.com/site/. To join the mailing list, once you log on to the site, on the right there is a mailing list feature to subscribe. I would highly suggest this so that you can receive updates as they are published. Finally are there any agenda items that you would like to see discussed? Currently there are no items however some interest in seeing the enhancements to Configuration Management (old Mirimba Product). If you could get these back to me by Jan 9th, 2008. Please let me know your feedback so that I can compile a list and coordinate with the group and BMC for resources. Have a great holiday season!!! |
