Trigger workflow on new request 8 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 0
If I push fields to a form and have it create a new request on nomatch that works for me. But then I want to trigger workflow because a new request was created but I don't see how to do that. I tried clicking submit and after submit thinking that the requested was being "submitted" but that didn't seem to work.

Not sure I understand your question... if you wish to have workflow fire on a record you are creating through a Push Field action, create filters linked to the target form that are triggered on 'Submit'. Not sure what else you need...?

Thanks Matt, I really appreciate you willingness to help. I think this question reflects my basic misunderstanding of how Remedy works so please disregard.

No worries. I would take some time to read through the Concepts guide and the Workflow Guide. Those two will give you a good understanding of how to build things in Remedy.

Good luck!

Will do. I've been reading the docs but it takes a little time for me to get up to speed. I took the part 1 admin course and I'm working on getting the part 2 course as well. My boss agreed to pay for it. I'll get it eventually.
