Populate table field from sql query? 8 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 0
Hi, I'm using 6.3 and I have a query that returns multiple rows from a non-remedy database. I want to put the results in a table field. Is there a good way to do this?

I can't figure out how to get the result of the query into the table field since the table field only seems to support displaying data from another Remedy form.

Thanks!

Not possible, that I know of. What you could do, however, is create a View form to overlay the non-remedy database table, create a table-field showing data from the View Form, and use your query to filter it. Just a thought.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll give that a try in a few hours when I get to work.

That worked perfectly. It took a while because I had to get the DB admin to create a view for me but after that it was a breeze. Thanks so much!

Thanks! Now that I'm displaying data from the form view into the table, I would like to modify that data before it is displayed. Is there an way I can trigger workflow on each row when the data is loaded into the table?

Thanks again!
