That is a pretty good background for working with Remedy, and you'll find many developers and administrators with similar credentials. To learn more about Remedy, you can browse their documentation (freely available) at the following link:

I would start with the Concepts guide, and if you are interested in going more in depth, take a look at the Workflow guides, etc.
However, that is just the 'framework' of Remedy. Once you have Remedy installed, there are many "Out of the Box" applications (not only from BMC, btw) that can be installed and run "on Remedy". These applications are whole employment opportunities in and of themselves, if you become proficient in them.
