That is a pretty good background for working with Remedy, and you'll find many developers and administrators with similar credentials. To learn more about Remedy, you can browse their documentation (freely available) at the following link: http://www.bmc.com/support/hou_Support_ProdAllVersions/0,3646,19097_19695_108018_0,00.html

I would start with the Concepts guide, and if you are interested in going more in depth, take a look at the Workflow guides, etc.

However, that is just the 'framework' of Remedy. Once you have Remedy installed, there are many "Out of the Box" applications (not only from BMC, btw) that can be installed and run "on Remedy". These applications are whole employment opportunities in and of themselves, if you become proficient in them.

Nice to see ur reply. In addition i would like to tell u that i am already using remedy in my office but the point is am not able to know more abt this product in detail particularly in the area of development. Further i have a PC with me, so if i want to learn this tool for development purpose. where can i get the software?.
Please suggest and guide me. Also, brief me on how to get started, like u said to refer to the concept guide. so can u provide me the material as a soft copy in case u have. i am far more feeling happy that i got a response.
like to start off ASAP.

Subbu,

The Remedy documentation is available for download (without registration even!) at the link I provided above. It looks as if the link is partially broken, so you'll need to copy and paste it to get it to work. As far as obtaining the software, you would need to go through a BMC sales representative or partner (if you get support through a partner) to obtain it. If you are utilizing Remedy at your organization already, the people on that team have access to the software and could provide you a copy to install for development purposes.

I need to know if an Access Database can be imported in to Remedy. I am new to programming in Remedy. How do I start a new database in Remedy when a database already exists without corrupting that database? please email at rchh3132@yahoo.com I needs to start programming next in Remedy. I need to program a incident database and asset management database. I would be very happy to get your assistance.
