Identify real-time changes in Remedy 1 Year, 3 Months ago Karma: 0
Hi everyone,

I would like to know which is the best approach to identify real-time changes in Remedy. In other words, I intend to create a Java program that will be able receive a notification from Remedy with any changes happened inside Remedy.

Cheers,
Mauro Monteiro

Mauro,

Why not simply turn on the 'Server Events' tracking (via Server Information in the Admin Tool)? That should track any of the changes you are worried about.

Also, you could enable Source Control to track changes through that medium as well.

Good luck,

Matt Reinfeldt

Hi Matt Reinfeldt,

After of all, thanks very much for your answers.I really don't have so many experience using Remedy. That's why I would like to ask, if it is possible for you, more details about your solution. Where can I find more information about how to turn on the Server Events? Is ti possible to send an event to a HTTP client?

Cheers,
Mauro Monteiro

Hi, there is an application called RED,(REM Event Drive) that throws events to the User Tool, (Mid-Tier or Windows User tool). RED can throw event to one or to all the users connected to remedy, this events are in real time, and can be configurated by the Remedy Administrator.

If anyone wants more information about RED, send me a private message.
Thanks!!
